What We Do
BMW BikeWe run a fleet of 4 BMW R1150RT-Ps. They are twin cylinder, horizontally opposed, air cooled engines using the same basic design as launched by BMW in the 1920s.

The engines include twin spark plug heads and a catalytic convertor in the exhaust to reduce emissions. They are shaft driven and incorporate telelever front forks to reduce dive when braking. The rear suspension in these police spec bikes is modified to cater for the heavy equipment normally carried by police bikes making them ideal for the role undertaken by the Severn Freewheelers bikes'. These bikes have an excellent reputation for long term reliability and economy making them excellent assets for the organisation.

Thank you to BMW Motorrad Vehicle Developments and Bluelite Graphics Ltd who have generously helped with the bikes.
